CTP PLATESETTER
Kodak Magnus 800 Quantum CTP Platesetter

Kodak platesetting equipment, which is based on CTP (Computer to Plate) technology, is efficient and easy to use. It presents the high quality of the set image and offers advanced platesetting properties in all formats. SquareSpot imaging technology ensures the integration of image setting throughout the process, from the original file to printing machines, regardless of the varying conditions. Its optical system is the only one in the world to offer square laser dot formation (SquareSpot Technology) instead of round dots used in all other systems based on CTP solutions. The application of the square laser dot for imaging allows users to print halftone elements with very sharp edge lines and reduces the frequency of equipment calibration to a minimum. As a result, this guarantees very high reproducibility and the stability of results on both this and other equipment. The Kodak Magnus 800 Quantum CTP System, which applies platesetting in B1 and B2 formats, ensures productivity and efficiency levels fitting the needs of both small and large printing machines. The new design, assisted by new software, ensures higher efficiency and a reduced order processing time. The Magnus 800 Quantum platesetter can work with most of the popular workflow systems. It is equipped with a frequency-modulated screening system (FM) Staccato® (stochastic screening) designed especially for the needs of CTP systems. This is an innovative FM II solution that provides excellent quality of reproduced details, elimination of screen angles and moiré patterns without impacting the data processing time.
